"God has been good to me and
I want to give something back."
This is the continuing refrain spoken by the men and women who have joined the
IVC - men and women who feel the presence of God in their lives and wish to respond by serving the God who calls us through the voices of our brothers and sisters who are poor.
If you are retired, or if retirement is in your near future, the IVC may be for you. Volunteer commitment is two days per week in service to the materially poor.
|
 | In addition to the service work, participation in the
IVC also includes taking part in the Spiritual Reflection process. This involves keeping a journal of volunteer experiences, reflecting on those experiences with an
IVC spiritual reflector, participating in the monthly city group meetings, and attending three short, annual retreats.
